Quick Gift Idea: Sewing Susan

This sewing susan can be crocheted in a jiffy. I like to sew and I love helpful little gadgets, especially handmade ones. A great project to make for a gift. When I was first learning to sew, I treasured my own sewing accessories, so be sure to remember that special someone who is learning to sew.

Newest Crochet Pattern: Hair Snood

A snood is a type of holder for the hair. It can be made of solid cloth, or knitted, or crocheted, like this pattern. This snood matches the oval shell bag and is a fun, quick project that makes a better hair accessory than something purchased at a department store.

New Crochet Pattern: Basket

This work basket is sturdy enough to hold many supplies, yet functional enough to be carried anywhere. It also makes a lovely picnic basket.

Favorite Pattern: Baby Cap, Booties, Sweater (Sacque)

Looking for a baby gift to crochet? Try something different than the usual crochet blanket and make booties, a sweater (also called a sacque), or a cap. Make the set of all three items, or any one of them separately. I wish I had found these patterns when my son was born several years ago, but I had a tough time finding cool, old-fashioned baby crochet patterns at the time. Cap pattern,  booties pattern,  sweater (sacque) pattern.
